2.champion  n.冠军：拥护者；战士 vt．拥护，支持
【例】The dancers include such famous names as Patricia Murray, one of the Irish dancing champions, and first-rate ballerina Claire Holding.

【用】champion与support意思相远，都表示支持，但champion更多的是说“为捍卫、支持……而斗争”。

3.paraphrase  n./v.释义，改述

4.oppose   v．反对，反抗

【例】Congress was opposing the President's healthcare budget.
议会反对总统的卫生保健预算。
【派】opposite（adj.相反的；对面的 n.相对应的人或物，对立物prep.在…的对面）；opposition[n．反对；相反；反对者（派）；反对党]
【辨】oppose, object, resist三个词都有“反抗，反对”的意思。oppose侧重反对的动作，尤指反对观念、行为等，如：oppose his idea; object指用某些证据或言论反对，多与个人喜好有关；如：I objected to his ideas; resist强调抵抗侵袭或烦扰，如：resist aggression。

5.suppress   vt．镇压;平定,制止；抑制，隐瞒，扣留

【例】The dictator did everything l possible to suppress new thoughts.

6.arrange  v．整理，分类，排列；筹备，安排；商妥，商定
